Austin, TX

I hadn't seen my good mate Marc from Sikeston, MO in about 3 years so spending a few days in Austin with him and his family was great. We went out on 6th Street one night and had a great time playing shuffleboard (best bar game ever) at Buffalo Billiards before dinner and some bar hopping. The relaxed vibe and live music really makes 6th street unique.

The following night we spent out at The Oasis on Lake Travis. Some good Tex-Mex and a really great view over the lake make this a good place to visit. I don't think we would have found it without Marc and his family so it was a good experience and a fun night again. The live music in the bar section upstairs was great, the crowd's average age was probably 45. Use your imaginations.

A big thanks to the Leible, Allen and Mayland families for being first class hosts and wonderful new friends.

Shuffleboard is the best bar game ever.

Overlooking Lake Travis with my old buddy Marc.
