The beaches were about 30 mins drive out from the city and 4/5 days had surfable swell, though the first day I was the only one out. Hadn't been surfing in over a year so 1-2 foot slop on a little sandbank was good enough for me :) The other 3 days was a nice 3-4 foot though pretty messy for the most part.
In more good news, my board tested really well and didn't fall apart! Marta and I are heading to Stavanger to meet up with Welsh friend Gareth in a couple of weeks again and hopefully there'll be more surf down there!
Here's some photos taken from my little Canon point and shoot that about 80% of the time now does not focus. I think some of the blurry ones came out pretty cool though...
Day 1. Tiny break at Bore Beach.
Reve Havn. Tiny rocky cove that was nice but pretty unsurfable at this size. Maybe it was the wrong swell direction.
Free roaming cattle at Reve Havn.
From the car park at Bore. Surf on the other side of the hill :)
Stavanger's Concert Hall.
A place called Sele Point that had nice little rights but was always a bit smaller than Bore it seems.
